According to state law and board policy, all parents and visitors must check in at the office and must wear a visitor's badge or NVUSD issued identification when on campus during school hours.
This policy ensures the safety of our students. McPherson staff will enforce this rule to keep our students safe.

McPherson embraces Napa Valley Unified School District's mission of transforming lives by instilling 21st century skills and inspiring lifelong learning in every student.
We encourage our parents to volunteer in our school and welcome parent input on school-wide decisions through our parent organizations. McPherson offers has a Family Resource Center located on site that provides family resources, parent classes through Napa Valley Parent University, and coordinates parent volunteering. Our parents can also participate in leadership roles through our School Site Council, ELAC/DELAC representative, Title I Representative, Superintendents Advisory Representative and Parent Teacher Organization.
Our school was named after Dr. Harry McPherson, superintendent of the Napa Schools (pre-NVUSD) from 1940-1965, and founder of Napa Valley College.
